“Unbelievable — the technology is so advanced!” On September 7, a 70-member Tanzanian procurement delegation visited Shishan Town, Nanhai District, Foshan, conducting on-site inspections at leading local manufacturing enterprises. They experienced firsthand the formidable strength of Shishan manufacturing and explored new opportunities for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.

This event marked the first session of the “Business Connects the World, Trade Promotes the Future” Foshan–Tanzania Supply and Demand Matchmaking Conference. Guided by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Foshan Committee, and co-organized by the CCPIT Nanhai District (Guangdong Province) Committee and the People’s Government of Shishan Town, the two-day event welcomed a large-scale national procurement delegation from Tanzania to Wayes Customization. The delegation embarked on a comprehensive on-site inspection covering showroom tours, smart factory observations, and business discussions, conducting an in-depth review of the whole-house customization industry chain. The atmosphere was warm and cordial, with overseas buyers repeatedly expressing amazement at the domestic digital intelligent manufacturing capabilities.

The delegation arrived at the brand showroom lobby, where staff provided guided explanations throughout the visit, presenting the brand’s whole-house customization system in full to the visiting buyers. The display covered a diverse range of real-life show suites, including modern light luxury, new Chinese style, minimalist kitchen and dining, walk-in closets, and bedrooms.

From the integrated smart cabinet system to the zoned walk-in closets and the elegant new Chinese-style whole-house suites, the Tanzanian buyers got up close to feel the texture of the panels and experience the user-friendly storage designs, inquiring in detail about product craftsmanship and customization solutions tailored to African housing layouts. Many buyers held brochures and used their phones to document spatial details, remarking that Chinese whole-house customization strikes a perfect balance between aesthetics and practicality, making it an ideal fit for local household needs, while its diverse styles can also cater to markets at different consumption levels.

The delegation then proceeded to the Weshang 4.0 Digital Intelligent Manufacturing Base for an on-site tour of the automated production lines.

In the production viewing corridor, the guide provided a comprehensive overview of the entire equipment workflow — from the flexible production model and fully automated CNC cutting to laser edge banding and intelligent sorting. Confronted with a fully unmanned, digitally controlled production line, the Tanzanian procurement delegation was deeply impressed. Members paused to observe the panel flow process and inquired in detail about production capacity, order delivery cycles, and quality control inspection systems. Many remarked that while overseas home furnishing factories are mostly semi-manual, Weshang’s ability to simultaneously and flexibly produce tens of thousands of orders, backed by highly efficient and stable delivery capabilities, had completely reshaped their understanding of the furniture manufacturing industry.

At the conclusion of the tour, both parties moved to a large conference room for an in-depth business discussion.

During the discussion session, our team provided a detailed presentation on export cooperation policies, overseas order fulfillment processes, and overseas certification support services, and tailored an integrated solution covering supply, logistics, and after-sales specifically for the Tanzanian market. Representatives from the delegation actively raised questions on key topics such as product pricing, bulk procurement, shipping timelines, and local market adaptation, leading to lively and engaging exchanges.
