Wayes Custom Home Participated in the GLSTF 2026 Sustainable Timber Forum
News 2026-09-24
From September 22 to 23, 2026, the Global Legal & Sustainable Timber Forum (GLSTF 2026) was held in Macao, China. Wayes Custom Home, the overseas brand of leading Chinese whole-home customization company Wayes (WeiYi Custom), attended the forum at invitation, joining government delegates, industry associations, timber enterprises and supply-chain experts from around the world to explore how the global timber industry can grow within a legal and sustainable framework.

1. A Global Dialogue on the Future of Forests
Held with the support of the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) and organized under the Global Green Supply Chain Initiative (GGSC), the forum was conducted in Chinese, English and Portuguese — a fitting stage for Macao’s role as a bridge between China and the Portuguese-speaking world. At the opening ceremony, guests from five continents jointly launched the two-day program. Session I, “Timber Industries in Global Disruptions,” addressed three defining challenges: climate change, shifting trade patterns and supply-chain resilience, with in-depth discussions on legal timber trade, sustainable forest management and green supply chains for forest products.
A broad consensus emerged: the future of the timber industry depends on whether “legal” and “sustainable” can become the shared language of global supply chains. For home-furnishing manufacturers, this is not only an environmental imperative but a prerequisite for long-term competitiveness.
2. Wayes Custom Home: Baking Sustainability into Whole-Home Customization
As a brand dedicated to cross-border whole-home customization, Wayes Custom Home has long served Chinese families and global customers in North America, Southeast Asia and beyond. At the forum, the team engaged face to face with timber suppliers, certification bodies and industry organizations from multiple countries, focusing on the latest practices in legal timber traceability, sustainable forest management and green supply-chain management.

“Every piece of timber from a legal and sustainable source is a promise to the world’s forests,” a Wayes Custom Home representative said after the forum. “We will carry the green vision of this conference into every step of our material sourcing, manufacturing and global delivery.”
3. AI and Industry 4.0: Making Every Piece of Timber Count
At Wayes, sustainability is not just a philosophy — it is measurable productivity. Powered by the AI Good Design Factory and Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing, the company combines AI-driven design, digital order-splitting and flexible production: designs are simulated before production, panel cutting is optimized by intelligent nesting systems, and the reuse rate of off-cuts keeps improving, reducing wood waste and carbon emissions at the source.
This integrated “design–manufacturing–delivery” digital pipeline turns the inherently non-standard business of whole-home customization into a green, efficient and scalable capability — offering families worldwide eco-friendly furniture at remarkable value.
4. A One Home Lifestyle for the World
Looking out from Macao, China, Wayes Custom Home sees one world sharing one responsibility. Guided by its One Home lifestyle philosophy, the brand is committed to helping every family — wherever they live — build their ideal home with legally sourced, sustainable timber, eco-friendly panels and human-centered design.

In the years ahead, Wayes and Wayes Custom Home will continue to work with global forestry and timber partners to drive collaborative innovation in green supply chains, bringing sustainable aesthetics into more homes overseas. From attending to acting: the green commitment goes beyond the forum.
